Pizza
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of warm water (40ºC)
- 1 tbsp of sugar
- 1 tbsp of active dry yeast
- 1 tbsp of olive oil
- 2 to 2 ½ cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp of salt
Method:
- Preheat oven to 230ºC.
- Put warm water into a large mixing bowl.
- Add the sugar and the YEAST (LEVADURA) and stir to combine.
- Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes.
- Add olive oil and gently STIR (REMUEVE) to combine.
- Add 2 cups of flour and salt and mix with a spatula until a ball begins to form.
- Transfer to a floured surface and knead into a smooth dough.
- Roll dough into your desired shape and gently transfer to a greased pan.
- Use a fork to gently PRICK (PINCHA) the dough all around to prevent air pockets from forming.
- Bake on the lower rack of the oven for 5 minutes and remove.
- Add tomato sauce we have already learned how to make and the toppings of your choice.
- Bake on the lower rack of your oven for 15 to 20 minutes until the CRUST (CORTEZA) looks crispy and lightly browned.
- Let cool for a few minutes before eating.
